WHAT HAPPENED?
On monday february 6, two earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.7 and 7.6 have hit 10 cities in southern east Turkey, the death toll has already passed 16,000 and more than 66,000 people are injured. People are still under rubbles in freezing conditions, many are left homeless with no access to food, water, shelter or clothing fit for the cold weather conditions in the area. This is the biggest earthquake to strike the region in more than 100 years.Turkey has declared a fourth-level alert state. The “level 4” alarm condition includes an international call for help.
